About the EnergyAustralia Apprenticeship Program

An EnergyAustralia Apprenticeship normally lasts for four years and leads to a nationally recognised qualification. During your apprenticeship, you’ll get comprehensive job-related training, paid leave to attend TAFE, and gain experience by working in a number of different areas in the company.

During your apprenticeship, you'll have opportunities to participate in major projects as EnergyAustralia continues to invest a record $3 billion in the five years to 2009 on improving the electricity network and meeting growth in demand.

What apprenticeships are available?

EnergyAustralia manages five different apprenticeship programs. The program is accredited to assess and issue nationally recognised trade qualifications.The next intake of apprentices will start in January 2007.

What’s the starting salary?

EnergyAustralia offers progressive salaries for apprentices. An electrical safety rules allowance may be paid after a qualifying period.

Who can apply for the EnergyAustralia Apprenticeship Program?

Whether you’re a school leaver or a mature age applicant looking for a career change, we’d be interesting in hearing from you. You’ll need to have completed your high school studies (or be completing them this year) and have sound maths and communication skills.
