Empowering our customers for the future

At EnergyAustralia, we are looking at new ways to empower our customers by providing them with choices – most importantly, to allow you to make informed decisions about where your energy comes from, how much you pay for it and how you can contribute to the worldwide greenhouse challenge.

It’s all part of achieving our long-term vision for the future to:

  • Improve energy efficiency
  • Reduce greenhouse emissions and
  • Find better ways to plan for our future energy demands.

Our Greenhouse responsibility

NSW Government regulations require electricity retailers to significantly reduce their greenhouse emissions. We have taken a number of approaches to this challenge by:
  • Encouraging our customers to choose low-emission or renewable energy sources
  • Providing customers with knowledge and tools to choose energy efficient appliances
  • Promoting better design with the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Natural Resources for buildings and appliances
  • Encouraging innovation in the supply of low carbon sustainable energy solutions and
  • Actively pursuing renewable energy investment opportunities
