Electrical contractors

This information is provided for electrical contractors who are, or who want to be, accredited and authorised to work on EnergyAustralia equipment, or who operate as service providers to EnergyAustralia customers.

Customers may be required to fund some of the cost of connecting their electrical installation to EnergyAustralia's distribution network. The work required to design and construct the customer funded connection assets is 'contestable'. This means the customer funding the work has the choice of engaging EnergyAustralia or another service provider accredited with the NSW Office of Fair Trading.

 Contractor accreditation
Individual electrical contractors can become accredited Service Providers and perform contestable work. There are three levels of accreditation.
