Our Network

We operate one of the largest electricity networks in Australia – around 22,275 square kilometres – distributing electricity to the Sydney, Central Coast and Hunter regions.

We are committed to community safety and meeting the needs of a growing energy market by effectively maintaining our assets, regularly upgrading our infrastructure and finding better ways to plan for our future energy demands.

 Investing in the network
EnergyAustralia will invest around $3 billion in the five years to 2010 to maintain and improve the performance of our electricity network and cater for continued growth. This record investment is about $800 million more than originally planned and will deliver direct benefits to our 1.5 million customers in Sydney, the Central Coast and Hunter regions.
