Background to the Program There’s never been a more exciting time for graduates to join us. Over the next five years to 2010, we are investing $4.8 billion on our electricity network to meet growth in demand and maintain reliability. With many varied opportunities to contribute to our growth, EnergyAustralia is the place to fast-track your electrical engineering career. EnergyAustralia's engineering graduate program is designed to arm you with the knowledge and experience you need to best determine a career path matching your particular skills and interests. Working on a two year rotational program, you will have the choice of over 50 positions ranging from the highly technical, to project management, to working with sustainable energy. You’ll work in a number of different departments, with either our electricity network owners, or our service delivery businesses. From day one you will be working in a genuine position, with real responsibilities. Your Professional and Personal Development EnergyAustralia’s investment in your development is comprehensive, including a one week induction. As part of your training, you will also participate in a one–week Leadership Camp, giving you the opportunity to enhance your leadership and teamwork capabilities. Other peer networking opportunities occur on a regular basis. Throughout the graduate program, mentors will assist you in developing your skills, establishing strong networks within the business and in planning your career. General development and business training is encouraged, and you will be financially supported to undertake relevant further studies. You will be given regular opportunities to review your progress, and you will be set objectives at the beginning of each rotation.
